DAVE TROTTER 2010 BALLOT STATEMENT
FOR FOR RE-ELECTION TO THE MORAGA TOWN COUNCIL |
||||||||||||||||
|
I’ve served Moraga as mayor and councilmember since 2006, working to make sensible decisions in the public interest. I ask for your continued support and vote in November.
My accomplishments and guiding principles include: Shaping and approving Moraga Center Specific Plan – the first step to revitalizing our two commercial areas and creating new energy in the heart of Moraga. If re-elected, I will work to implement the Plan’s vision. Upholding our General Plan and Moraga Open Space Ordinance. Voting to protect Moraga’s remaining open ridgelines from development, and against proposed ridgeline homes of Rancho Laguna II project. Insisting on balanced Town budgets. I will continue to exercise strong fiscal discipline. Serving on Moraga Revenue Enhancement Committee. Its report provides a roadmap for future financing, maintenance and repair of Town roads and essential infrastructure. Opening up the Hacienda to greater public use. As mayor, exercising leadership and restoring civility to the Town Council. Fostering continued and closer ties with St. Mary’s College and Moraga School Board – Town’s Measure WW funds will improve Camino Pablo’s sports fields. Our Town’s on the right track. Working together, we can make Moraga a better place to live, raise families, and provide for more recreational opportunities. |

| Endorsed by the Contra Costa Times Contra Costa Times editorial: We recommend David Trotter and Ken Chew for Moraga Town Council (73%) 10/29/2010 - MUCH LIKE the other two municipalities in Lamorinda, the Town of Moraga is well-run and we believe that voters there should return the two incumbents to the two seats up for election. |
